More Info:

Almost in Love is the 39th album by Elvis Presley, released in 1970 on RCA Camden, a budget-priced subsidiary of the main RCA label. This album consisted mostly of singles dating from the late 1960s that had previously not been released in album format, including 1968's "A Little Less Conversation" (a re-recording of this song by Elvis for his 1968 TV Special would later be remixed by Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL and become a hit in 2002) and "Rubberneckin", a 1969 single from the film Change of Habit recorded at American Sound Studio in Memphis during the 1969 recording sessions that had produced From Elvis in Memphis and Elvis Back in Memphis. The song would later be remixed by Oakenfold in 2003. Included as a bonus is "My Little Friend," a leftover again from the same 1969 recording sessions in Memphis. The song "Stay Away, Joe" (the theme from Elvis's 1967 film of the same title) was included in error (it was already released earlier in 1970 on the compilation Let's Be Friends); when RCA-Camden reissued Almost in Love in 1972, it replaced it with a different song, "Stay Away", from the same film. The title track of the album is a song from Presley's 1968 film, Live a Little, Love a Little. The album was re-released by Pickwick Records in 1975 and was issued on compact disc (Sony/BMG A 681610) in 2006. It was certified Gold and Platinum on 1/6/2004 by the RIAA.

The first pressing, although not particularly rare or valuable, is nonetheless sought by collectors. Almost in Love, which peaked at #65 on Billboard's Top LPs chart and remained on the chart for 18 weeks, is the only album on which My Little Friend can be found.
