Go Back

Something

Words & Music by George Harrison

Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way she moves me
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how

Somewhere in her smile she knows
All I gotta do is think of her
Something in her style that shows me
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how

You're asking me will our love grow
I don't know, I don't know
You stick around and it may show
I don't know, I don't know

Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way she moves me
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how

You're asking me will our love grow
I don't know, I don't know
You stick around and it may show
I don't know, I don't know

Something in the way she moves
All I gotta do is think of her
Something in her style that shows me
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how

Something was written by George Harrison and recorded by the Beatles in 1969. Their recording (Apple 2654) reached #3 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and became a million-seller. Harrison lifted the song's first line from the title of the James Taylor tune Something in the Way She Moves. In 1970 both Shirley Bassey (United Artists 50698) and Booker T and the M.G.'s (Stax 0073) had popular versions of Something.

Elvis sang Something in his 1973 TV special Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii, and in concert on a few occasions, the first time being on August 10, 1970, in Las Vegas.
