C'mon Everybody

Words & Music by Joy Byers

Lyrics:

Come on everybody and snap your fingers now
Come on everybody clap your hands real loud
Come on everybody take a real deep breath
And repeat after me
I love my baby
I love my baby
Hey, hey, hey and my baby loves me

Come on everybody and whistle this tune right now
Come on everybody and stomp your feet real loud
Come on evertbody take a real deep breath
And repeat after me
I love my baby
I love my baby
Hey, hey, hey and my baby loves me

Well there ain't nothing wrong with the long-haired music
Like Brahms, Beethoven and Bach
Well I was raised with a guitar in my hand
And I was born to rock
Well, come on everybody and turn your head to the left
Come on everybody and turn your head to the right
Come on evertbody take a real deep breath
And repeat after me
I love my baby
I love my baby
Hey, hey, hey and my baby loves me

More info:
Elvis recorded C'mon Everybody, a Joy Byers song, for his 1964 film, Viva Las Vegas. The movie version had a heavier beat and extra voices. The recording session took place at Radio Recorders in Hollywood on July 7, 1964. Take #5 is the one used by RCA on record. In 1958 Eddie Cochran had a hit with a completely different song called C'mon Everybody (Liberty 55166). That recording was the first rock'n'roll record ever bought by Rod Stewart. It was originally titled Let's Get Together.
